It was with great sadness that we received the news earlier today that Cathy Hunter has passed away. Over the last few years Cathy had struggled with health issues but always remained positive and upbeat.
Cathy was elected to the position of B&DWBA Match Secretary in 2015 and was a valued member of the Committee. She worked tirelessly to raise the profile of the Association through the friendly matches, encouraging ladies from all clubs to join in.
She was a stalwart member of West Moors Bowling Club, serving on the Committee and taking an active part in the club’s junior coaching programme.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Peter, and all her family, friends and bowls colleagues at this time.
